Description
What does contemporary feeding actually mean?
Increased time in stables can lead to a rise in diseases such as allergies, chronic bronchitis and eczema. Special breeds and older horses in particular are very often affected by these diseases. Horses have always been working animals and unfortunately are often not challenged according to their breeding regulations. Their energy requirement drops drastically, and this also means a necessary reduction in energy supply to the feed in order to avoid serious weight gain. The consequences: The supply of vital substances is reduced.
In addition, the horse could be provided with poor quality roughage (mostly through ignorance). This can damage the intestines, the liver and, in the long term, the immune system and the airways. The consequences can be drastic: emaciation, disorders of the immune system, osteoarthritis, and colic to name a few.
With Vitalmuesli "Best Years" from St. Hippolyt your horse gets everything it needs in terms of nutritional physiology, namely a feed rich in raw fibre and dense with vital substances. It contains many valuable herbs, such as coriander, peppermint and rosemary. In addition, the cold-pressed linseed oil it contains supplies the body with omega-3 fatty acids.
Grain germs and vegetable oils give the body the energy it needs. The brewer's yeast and wheat bran support the natural digestive function.
EquusVitalis tip
This food is also suitable for horses suffering from eczema or allergies.
Feeding recommendation:
- Large horses: 1–4kg per day.
- Small horses and ponies: Correspondingly less. From 2kg daily, the mineral and vitamin requirements are covered. A higher energy requirement can be met with additional concentrated feed.
