Description
Taurine, an aminoethanesulphonic acid, is required for various bodily functions in a cat's body. Unlike dogs, cats are unable to synthesise sufficient amounts of the amino acid taurine themselves. Pure taurine powder can be used to supplement your cat's daily diet to help compensate for a taurine deficiency. Taurine is an important nutrient in a cat's diet and can contribute to supporting the cardiovascular system and normal heart function, among other things. REAVET Taurine Powder for Cats is free from artificial additives.
Feeding recommendation:
Mix into the daily feed ration.
Cats: 1 measuring spoon per day
(1 measuring spoon = 0.5 g)
Instructions for feeding:
- The daily requirement for a normal cat weighing 4 kg is around 500 mg.
- Depending on the age, weight and energy requirements, your cat's requirements may vary.
- Kittens, cats who are pregnant or nursing and older cats have an increased taurine requirement.
