Product Test: Fly Sheet & Fly Mask

Product tests with a difference. This time we didn't take a close look at the products, but instead looked for 2 test persons who tried the items for us. The SUPERB Paddock Flysheet and the TWIN FIT Fly Mask, both from BUSSE, were tested.

The Paddock Flysheet is made of 100% polyester and has a neckpiece and an anatomically shaped belly flap. The V-Quick-Snap chest buckles ensure a secure hold.

The advantages of the TWIN FIT fly mask are easy handling, large, dimensionally stable eye protection and soft mesh material on the ears. It was made from a nylon/Lycra® blend with a small recess for the head.

SUPERB Paddock Flysheet

Pros:

  • Good fit
  • Nice and long on the sides
  • Closure on the chest gives a lot of freedom
  • Nice material, seems robust
  • Neckpiece long enough for the size
  • Stable closures

Cons:

  • Unfortunately, it always slips a bit, leg straps would be better than the deep tail strap.

TWIN FIT Fly Mask

Pros:

  • Great fit
  • Quality is great
  • Mega eye placement
  • Stays where it should
  • Pleasant material
  • The closure remains closed and does not press or interfere
  • Easy to clean

Evaluation: 5*


SUPERB Paddock Flysheet

Per:

  • Extra-long tail flap
  • Bib under the stomach
  • Enough freedom of movement
  • Stable material
  • Neckpiece does not slip that quickly
  • Neckpiece can be attached to the halter
  • All-round protection

Cons:

  • Relatively heavy (but still easy to use)

TWIN FIT Fly Mask

Pros:

  • Light material
  • Large recess at the eyes

Cons:

  • Slips often
  • The push button didn't last long
  • Seems pretty tight

We thank both product testers. The results are very interesting. The Paddock Flysheet convinced both testers. Opinions differ greatly when it comes to the Fly Mask. It is best to form your own opinion!
