REAVET Natural Elm Bark, 120 g

Elm bark, long known as a food supplement for dogs and cats, is used to support the gastrointestinal tract and can help with nausea, indigestion, vomiting and diarrhoea. Elm bark supports the natural elimination of hair and hairballs from a cat's digestive system. Thanks to its high acceptance and good tolerability, elm bark is ideal for daily feeding in the appropriate dosage.

REAVET Natural Elm Bark is made from the inner bark layer of the American red elm and ground into a fine, 100% pure powder. Red elm is known for its mucilage-forming components which are responsible for supporting the mucous membranes lining the inner stomach and intestinal wall. The powder, which is rich in tannins, bitter substances and mucilage, turns into a mucilaginous substance on contact with water. The prepared syrup covers the mucous membranes like a film and therefore helps harmonise natural stomach and intestinal function.

Preparation:

1. Stir 2 g of elm bark powder into 150 ml of cold water in a pan until dissolved
2. Bring to the boil for approx. 2 minutes while stirring.
3. Allow the elm bark syrup to cool down.

The mixture of 2 g elm bark and 150 ml water corresponds to more than the dose for one day - the rest can be stored in the refrigerator for several days without any problems. Please ensure that the syrup is at room temperature before offering it to your pet.

Feeding recommendation:

Tip: If not readily accepted, drizzle a little liquid from wet food or meat over the portion of elm bark syrup.

When giving medication, wait for 2 hours before offering. If there is no improvement after 7 days, please consult a vet
