Description
Looking to feed your senior horse according to its needs? Josera Herbs & Beets Senior is a fibre-rich muesli specially developed for older horses. The grain- and molasses-free recipe is particularly high in crude fibre and contains high-quality plant-based proteins, which can help support muscle maintenance and body condition.
Thanks to its reduced sugar and starch content, this feed is also suitable for horses with increased dietary requirements. Traditional herbs such as artichoke, milk thistle and hawthorn enhance the flavour and add variety to the feed trough. Its texture, which is also suitable for soaking, makes Josera Herbs & Beets Senior ideal for horses with dental issues or those requiring a softer diet.
Feeding recommendation:
- Depending on workload, feed approx. 150–500 g per 100 kg of body weight per day to meet energy requirements.
- From 2 kg per day, a large horse is fully supplied with essential vitamins and minerals. For smaller feeding amounts, we recommend supplementing with Joker Mineral or Kraut & Rüben Mineral - Flax & Fibre Mineral.
- 1 litre of Josera Herbs & Beets Senior corresponds to approx. 490 g.
Note:
Due to its higher content of trace elements compared to complete feeds, this complementary feed must not exceed 50% of the total daily feed ration for horses.
