Stomach problems through to stomach ulcers occur more often in horses than you might think. Whereas in the past it was mainly sport horses that were affected, nowadays gastric ulcers are diagnosed even in recreational horses. The main causes are feed rations rich in concentrated feed and low in roughage, incorrect feeding and husbandry techniques and stress.

E VET mucOfit Prebiotic, which was specially developed for a balanced acid-base balance in the stomach, is equipped with a high proportion of stomach-friendly ingredients such as mucus-rich linseed and a special prebiotic. A high proportion of structure and vital substances rich in alfalfa and timothy hay reliably increases the chewing intensity of the muesli. This can increase saliva production and achieve a stomach-friendly effect. Lignocellulose can help bind excess stomach acid.

The white poppy seed extract (Macleaya Cordata) can have a positive effect on prostaglandin secretion and thus indirectly influence the inflammatory processes in the gastric mucosa. The contained Jerusalem artichoke concentrate, a concentrated prebiotic, can sustainably stabilise the intestinal flora. The inulin contained in it serves as an excellent nutritional basis for bifidobacteria and supports the intestinal flora. The pectins contained in the fruit pomace also have a stimulating effect on the intestinal peristalsis. E VET mucOfit Prebiotic is rich in easily digestible raw fibres and vegetable oils and scores with very low sugar and starch content. In addition, the cold-pressed milk thistle oil with polyunsaturated fatty acids has a positive effect on muscles, skin and coat.

Feeding recommendation:
200g - 300g per 100kg bodyweight / day. If the dosage is lower, the addition of a mineral feed is recommended.
