Dr. Weyrauch Wundersam Seed Mix, 5 kg

This mix of whole flax seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, fennel seeds and ground caraway seeds helps enrich your horse’s feed in a natural way. The selected oil- and protein-rich ingredients provide valuable fatty acids and amino acids.

The individual components in detail:

Flaxseeds:

• Provide a high proportion (56%) of omega-3 fatty acids
• Contain naturally occurring mucilages
• The mucilages are composed of the sugars xylose, galactose and galacturonic acid
• Are rich in lecithin, a component of cell membranes found in animals and plants

Sunflower seeds:

• Are particularly rich in crude fibre and contain methionine (4g/kg)
• Have a considerable oil content
• Sunflower seed oil contains polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E

Hemp seeds:

• Contain a balanced ratio of alpha- and gamma-linolenic acid

Fennel seeds:

• Are also used as seasoning in bread

Feeding recommendation:
200-300 g per day.

Wundersam is grain-free and very low in starch. It can be used as a basis for mash, combined with wheat bran, or fed dry, for example, together with oats. Wundersam is also a nutritional addition to conventional muesli feed and can increase the fat and protein content of the daily ration.
