Agrobs PreAlpin Meadow Cobs

PreAlpin is a natural product made from over 60 different herbs and grasses from the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. Due to the special harvesting process, there is no need for nutrient-sapping secondary fermentation. The leaves and seeds are largely preserved. This creates a clean and high-quality product in which, even after pressing, the plant structure can be clearly seen. Warm air drying reduces the formation of moulds and their toxic metabolic products, which are more common in low-quality hay and silage.

The resulting reduced exposure to mould, mites, dirt and dust is particularly beneficial for allergy sufferers and horses that are sensitive to digestion. PreAlpin has made a name for itself in the field of special breeds and horses that are sensitive to protein.

In order to cover the necessary roughage requirement for older horses with chewing problems, the cobs can be fed soaked in water.

Feeding recommendation:

• As a substitute for basic feed: 1.2 to 1.5kg per 100kg target body weight daily
• To compensate the basic feed, adjust the amount to the feed supply: 1kg of PreAlpin meadow cobs replaces 1kg of hay. Feed slowly or soak 1kg with 1.5-3 litres of water.
• As a concentrate substitute: 1.2kg PreAlpin Cobs replaces approx. 1kg grain
• Especially with hasty eaters, old horses or horses with dental problems, moistening or soaking the feed is generally recommended.
