Description
The Bemelmans riding bit has been optimally adapted to the horse's mouth, making it easier for the horse to approach the rider's hand. The ingenious design includes soft, bevelled transitions towards the sides, while the curb is tapered towards the middle. This allows it to fit snugly between the tongue and the arch of the palate, relieving pressure on the tongue.
- Ideal for horses with a thick tongue
- Ideal for sensitive horses that avoid pressure on the tongue by pulling it up or sticking it out.
The pressure on the nape of the neck is higher due to longer levers and occurs with a slight delay compared to shorter underpull.

Note on the choice of size:
Where the curb bit is buckled in, the horse's mouth is narrower, which is why the curb bit should usually be chosen 1/2 to 1 cm smaller than the pad snaffle. Please make sure that the sides of the bit are close to the mouth. The chin chain should be buckled in such a way that the curb bit can be accepted up to an angle of approx. 45°.
