OKAPI Winter Meadow

In winter, your horse's body is exposed to a lot of stress. Since they don't get as much exercise or fresh air as usual, and often don't have fresh hay, their immune system may not be as strong as it is in the summer. This combined with the cold and wet weather can take a toll on their health. In the winter, wild horses deliberately search for herbs, bark, seeds and berries in order to support their metabolism, their immune system and especially the respiratory tracts.

The OKAPI Winter Meadow offers your horse the ideal supplement to its basic feed during the particularly stressful winter period of December and January.

Feeding recommendation:

• Large horses: 150 g daily
• Ponies / small horses: take about 75 g a day.

Feeding instructions:

• It is also a good idea to supplement essential oleic acids during the winter. OKAPI winter pasture should be fed a maximum of two months during December and January. Then it is advisable to switch to OKAPI's Spring Feelings to support your horse.
• OKAPI winter meadow can be fed dry or moistened. You can also add OKAPI winter meadow to concentrates, mash or soaked haycobs.
