Supplement hay & pasture grass

Description

Horses are able to digest different types of plants. Hay and grass are used in most stables, but wild horses tend to seek out nutrients in the forest that are often missing from stable horses' feed. Wild horses eat a wide variety of food that isn't limited to just grasses. In addition to a variety of herbs, they also like to pick berries and other fruits. They enjoy nuts, leaves and bark from various plants. This diet allows them to get natural raw fibre as well as important minerals and phytochemicals that they need for their physiological balance.

However, not every horse owner or stable operator has the option of fencing forest areas or landscapes into his paddocks, so OKAPI came up with this supplement.

With OKAPI Leaves and Bark, you can supplement your horse's feed with valuable natural nutrients throughout the year. Spread over hay or add to your horse's trough.

Feeding recommendation:

  • Add dry or moistened to their feed or sprinkle over their hay. Horses should be fed 50-100g daily (about two handfuls). Ponies get about half of that, depending on their size.

Feeding instructions:

  • OKAPI leaves and bark supplement basic feeding with high-quality bark and leaves that provide the horse with valuable trace elements, fibre and bioflavones. OKAPI Foliage and bark should not be fed continuously, but every other week, for example.
